Renee N. Poulin, Associate Architect, AIA

Renee was born and raised in Tupper Lake, NY.  Renee and her husband, Chris purchased a home in Saranac Lake where they have been living since 2011.  They now have a beautiful son, Maxwell.

Renee attended Cazenovia College where she gained a well-rounded knowledge of the design field.  Her courses included topics such as residential and commercial construction, building codes, lighting, furniture design, retail design, hospitality design and her favorite, universal design.  During her college years she designed projects for a number of competitions, including a Sony pop-up store, a Source One wallcovering design, and a hotel sconce lighting competition.   Her senior thesis made her proficient in green kitchen design.

Renee applied her years of experience working with Rich to pass all of the Architecture Registration Exams, earning her Architecture license in 2019.

Her experience is not limited to the design field.  Renee used to be a ski instructor at Mount Pisgah in Saranac Lake and Snow Ridge in Turin, NY where she taught kids aged 3-12 how to ski.  She also has experience with restaurant and retail work, having worked at a number of places throughout Tupper Lake and Saranac Lake.  During college, she worked in the college’s mail room processing the incoming and outgoing mail for the entire campus, as well as delivering it to campus offices.

She enjoys spending her time with friends and family, particularly camping and fishing in the summertime and downhill or cross country skiing and ice fishing in the winter.
